birthday cake

i would love to have some suggestions for where to get a birthday cake for my son's birthday in mid-July! i have used Publix and it's fine, but I would love to have other suggestions. i really like a cupcake cake--- it looks like a solid cake but it is made up of cupcakes!

Try Celebrations in Northport. My kids are very creative and like to design their own cakes. Celebrations has been wonderful at making the custom cake my kids love. Plus, they're quite yummy. (I recommend the chocolate icing.) They also make cupcakes, so I'm guessing they will work with you for your idea.

 

They are so wonderful. My youngest son's first birthday party was cancelled at the last minute because my husband was in an accident and we rushed to B'ham for surgery. Celebrations not only understood why I couldn't pick up the cake, but they also made my son a new one a week later so it would be fresh. Awesome!!

When we had Preston's birthday party we did the cupcake cake. His was a Thomas the Train one. We ordered it from walmart. We also did a Mickey Mouse cupcake cake for Russell Warren's first birthday.
