What are some fun family Halloween events you are doing with your family?

 

Here are a few ideas...

 

*Family Fun Night at First Wesleyan Church (Tuscaloosa), Saturday, Oct. 29 at 5PM. Free dinner, face painting, balloon animals, Christian magic show, prizes, band, and more! 5PM-6:30PM. Costumes are optional. For more info, click here.

 

CHOM Halloween SPOOK-TACULAR, at Children's Hands On Museum, Thursday, Oct. 20, 5:30PM, Free (with costume). For more info, click here. 

 

Pumpkin Patch-- here are a few good choices. Tuscaloosa Barnyard (petting zoo, pumpkin patch, hay ride...$15) click here; Critter Creek Farm (petting zoo, inflatables, pumpkin patch & hay ride, wild life center, etc), in Vance, AL- for more info, click here. 

 

Boo at the Zoo -- if you don't mind driving to Birmingham... Boo at the Zoo looks fun! It includes, animals, trick-or-treating, rides, games, and more. For more info, click here.

Midtown Village Fall Festival & Sunset Cinema --

Saturday, October 29, 2 - 5 pm; family movie 5 - 7 pm

Live music, a costume contest, scavenger hunt, pumpkin decorating, face painting and sack races.

 

Halloween in Oz --

Sunday, October 30, 2:30 - 4:30 pm

Moody Music Building, University Boulevard

Carnival style games and prizes with an Oz theme (including characters from the Wizard of Oz), costume parade and bake sale

Should be Monday night, the 31st.  Last year was the only year they ever changed it.

Kari - you talking about sorority row trick or treating? It starts tonight at 6.  I believe it goes until 8, but I'm not 100% sure of the end time.  It's so much fun though - we go every year.

it says there are animals.. but when i clicked more info it said "animals will not be on exhibit"... ? at boo at the zoo.. what all does it consist of. thinking of taking my son

The animal exhibits are all closed. There is trick or treating, games and prizes, cool decorations, and thongs like a hiaunted train, scaurosel (carousel that goes backwards), hayride, etc.
