Has anyone had any experiences with preschool classes at either Tumbling Tides or Kim's Gym? If so, I would love to hear your thoughts!
My daughter started at Tumbling Tides this summer. She turned 2 in February. I was amazed by how quickly they learned her name as well as the names of the other attendees, as the instructors must handle numerous children several days a week. But by the second week, they were calling all of the children by name.
My daughter, who'd never attended daycare outside of our home (my sister runs a home-based daycare, which consists of MOSTLY cousins but there are others), ABSOLUTELY LOVES her gymnastics class. We go on Mondays, and by Tuesday, she's asking to go back to her gymnastics class. She calls the other students by name, asking me if they're going to be in class. A few weeks ago, she started pulling up on our ab roller and doing movements while calling them by name: tuck, pike, straddle. I had no idea what she was saying. So, I asked her instructors. When I told them what she was doing and saying, they were impressed. However, I was more so pleased that they were telling her what she was doing and not just having her to make the movements.
Tumbling Tides also has what they call "Freaky Fridays," where for a small fee, you're allowed to drop off your child for a few hours on a Friday night. They enjoy pizza and other things. I haven't done that yet, but it sounds like fun.
Thank you SO much, Jade! This information is so helpful! We'll try them out!
We also did tumbling tides this summer. My daughter really enjoyed it. If you aren't ready to sign up for a regular gymnastics class, I would recommend trying the preschool hour at Bama Bounders instead.
