Halloween and Fall Activities are right around the corner!

Please post here things to do in the fall months and until Halloween! I have 2 young boys and I would like to get them out over the Holiday. We took my son to Boo at the Zoo last year... but I am afraid we won't be able to be out if it is as cool as it was last year... My youngest will only be 5 months old...

So Maybe some suggestions!

My favorite time of year!!!

We love Boo at the Zoo.  We also LOVE Old Baker Farm - it's about an hour and a half away, but we go to their big festival and plan it for the same day as Boo at the Zoo.  Website is:  www.oldbakerfarm.com

This is another popular pumpkin patch, also about an hour and a half away:  http://www.alabamagrandolepumpkinpatch.com/

Sorority row at UA will have trick or treating and games which is ALWAYS fun.  Date hasn't been announced I don't think.

"Halloween in Oz" is also at UA - in Moody Music Building.  I think that's October 28.

CHOM will have kid-friendly halloween events too.

Wow, great suggestions! Thank You So Much... ( From the kids too!) I love Halloween. I dressed up every year until I moved to Alabama... for some reason, Alabama has stole my joy for the holiday. I guess because its no fun to dress up alone. But my kids are getting old enough to enjoy it... and I refuse to let them miss out on the fun. So time to bring Halloween to Bama. ( For me anyways! LOL)

Halloween can be fun here too! I promise! I dress up every year - and so does our dog! And my husband often does.  We only dress up on Halloween night, but the kids wear their costumes to all sorts of events.

And we decorate our house and yard.  This is definitely my favorite time of year!

I think there are more halloween activities to do here than anywhere I've lived actually.

We live way out in the country. And nobody does trick or treating out here. I wish there was somewhere you could make a donation to a houseing developement or neighborhood and the people there NOT look down on you for going outside of "your" neighborhood.

I'm not sure if my neighborhood is anywhere near you, but I live in Clear Creek Colony (in Northport, up highway 43), and most houses give out candy and LOTS of people who don't live here drop their kids off to trick or treat in our neighborhood.  We'd be happy to have you come trick or treat!

If that's not near you, I can give you some other suggestions.

Oh that sounds great! I will have to let me husband know. We usually run all the way to Tuscaloosa where my Husbands grandparents live. But you have to DRIVE around.. because you'll walk a half a mile between houses with lights on... I like to just get out and walk it. Doing the driving and getting in and out.. that is annoying!
