Head Lice
Ok, I admit I'm one of the moms who is TERRIFIED of this very common childhood issue entering my house. So far neither girl has brought it home (I now need to go knock on some wood), but I am always fearful of it. And we all know the dismay you feel if you get a dreaded note home that head lice has been spotted on a child in your classroom.
Anyway, this article talks about Lice, the AAP's new recommendations to NOT make children stay home from school because of it, and explains why we don't all have to be terrified of something that is actually relatively minor.
Am I the only one who felt totally itchy the whole time reading this???

Luckily, my children have been lice free. Knock, knock! Although a few months back a note came home with my son. It was awful to think about.
