Hi Anastasia, The Magnet School does not have a kindergarten - it starts with first grade, so you have another year to go.  The application usually is due in late December or early January.

My daughter goes to the Magnet school (1st grade) we love it! The application is given to the students in January, if I remember correctly. All you do is fill it out. The students are chosen by test scores and teacher recommendations. They don't know who the student is, they are given #'s. A couple kids are chosen from each school district. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help... does any one haave any info on myrtlewood kindergarden? that is where my son will start next year?..

Hi Anastasia, I'm afraid I don't have info on Myrtlewood, but if that's where you are zoned, you won't be eligible for the Magnet School.  The Magnet School is a city school serving city residents while Myrtlewood is a county school.  :( Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
