Tusc Moms

Hey guys, I have a 7 month old boy and I am a stay at home mom who does not want to just put him in front of the tv all day. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on other things to do with him because he is getting bored very easily recently and I usually take him for a walk in the morning, we read at some point in the day, we play with toys, practice crawling but I don't know what else to do with him. DO I just need to invest in more toys, any advise would be great

Hello!  I also have a 7 month old baby boy.  He likes to do all of the things you mentioned.  I agree that it can be difficult to find ways to keep him entertained.  I like to ration his toys.  I'll give him a few to play with at a time, and reserve some for later.  Also, when I need my hands free, I let him play in his jumperoo. (We have a space saver version that is small enough to drag around the house.)

I also try to give him time to explore and entertain himself.  I clear out the living room floor, lay down some blankets, scatters some toys around, and let him do his own thing for a while.  I think it is important for him to learn that he doesn't always have to have someone else to entertain him.

Hope this helps!

Hi! With my almost 8 month old daughter I play dress up and take cute pictures when I feel like she is bored or we watch the your baby can read videos. I get her to "help" with the laundry or "help" pick up toys and put them in the box (so she can pull them back out later). I let her play alone with her toys some so she can discover the different actions on her own.
