Looking for a good pediatrician in Tuscaloosa or Northport.

Can someone recommend me a great pediatrician for my kids, for some reason it seems so difficult to find a good doctor that takes the time and dedication . I prefer a female doctor for my kids, I have a daughter(4), son (5), son (15). Thank you so much for the info.

We go to West Alabama Pediatrics. Technically my kids see Dr. Pettit, who is male, but there is a Dr. Roberts also in the practice who is female. I like that it's a small practice.

We see Dr. Bennuri at Bama Pediatrics (across from the hospital in Northport). He is a general pediatrician (his wife, also Dr. Bennuri, specializes in asthma and allergies in the same practice). I often prefer female docs, but I really do like Dr. Bennuri. He is very patient-centered. When my five-year-old son broke his arm, Dr. Bennuri showed great care and compassion, and made sure to follow up with us personally. I also like that I am usually able to get an appointment on short notice when my kids are sick. Good luck, I hope you find a pediatrician you like!

We love Tuscaloosa Pediatrics. We see Dr Cunningham but we have also seen Dr. McGiffert a lot too. They are both wonderful

I answer for all those doctors and they are all nice. My favorite is Dr Petitt though. :) My kids saw him for a long time. :)

My girls see Dr. Vaughn at Tuscaloosa Pediatrics.  I admit that the wait times are AWFUL there, but we really love Dr. Vaughn so we deal with the wait and try to get first thing in the morning appointments.

We use Dr Bennuri too.   When we moved here I had a hard time finding a doctor that was accepting new patients.  We wanted a small group so we could see the same doctor everytime.  Dr Bennuri is wonderful.  Very patient with my 6 year old daughter.
