I'm Renee, mother to fi who is two. We are moving to Tuscaloosa next week (the second to be exact) so my husband can go to grad school at UA.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all. I'm also going to be asking for guidance on things like daycare, doctors, vets and such as we settle in.

Welcome Renee! I moved her last August for my Fiance to attend the law school here! We have an almost 3yr old and 6mo old. This is a great place to gain knowledge about all the things T-town has to offer. Make sure to join some of the moms groups as well as playdate groups! Hope to see you soon!

Hi Girls, looks like y'all are new to the area like us. We moved for my husband's real estate development in mid June 2012. I have a 3 year old daughter and 13 month old son.

Today, I am planning on taking the kids to the McDonalds indoor playground (mcfarland and 69) for lunch (gross I know!) around 11:15 and then trying out the Tumblebus at 12:15. I think it's parked in the Five Points Baptist Church. Feel free to join us. -morgan 214-683-1447, [e-mail]

Hi! There seems to be a lot of newbies here! Count me in as new too. We need doctors, dentists and a hair stylist too. We moved here mid-June for my husband's job with the university. We are in northport and getting used to the area. I have older kids- 10 yr old son, a 7 yr old daughter and 4 year old son- but weve been out trying to do as much as possible -so far we have been to CHOM, the free movies at CObb, the splash pad at the park, the zoo and McWane. I also managed to drag my kids to the architectual salvage place in Cullman (loved it) and while there found out that Bankhead Forest has some waterfalls that we may go picnic and explore. We've been trying to stay busy so the kids don't miss their friends- that's been our major adjustment so far! Good luck on your move!
