What Type of Disciplinarian Are You?

Read this article to find out the different methods of discipline, and which are most and least effective.

I have to say, I have a love/hate relationship with articles like this.

On the one hand I think they are interesting to read and I do often gain good ideas from them.

On the other hand, I feel like most of us are a combination of all of these types depending on the day, the mood, and the current situation.

It's a good read though!  What are your thoughts?

At the moment, I am authoritarian. I catch myself saying, "because I said so" TOO many times. And I have to remind myself that he is asking why out of curiosity, not defiance. I have really got to break that habit. He is at an age now that takes a lot of patience and we are definitely lacking in that area.

I'm somewhere between the authoritative and permissive parent. We are trying to be better about doing time out and sticking to discipline. But, it's also sometimes exhausting.
