Since I couldn't find any coupon exchange groups nearby, I decided to try and start one myself! I'll be holding bi-weekly coupon trading groups so everyone can organize, share, and chat about upcoming deals!

Comment by Jennifer Wells on October 13, 2011 at 12:22am: I planned the meet up at my husbands job (tons of room), and they only allow events on the week ends, otherwise I would have had it on a regular week day. I also was going to invite some others I know who love couponing, so we need the space. I also expected little ones to come! The area we'll be in is big, and not to much for them to really get in to, we just have to push the coupons closer to the center of the tables so we don't have little ones grabbing papers and scissors. Many a coupon has vanished thanks to my son!

I like the idea of a "hit" list; mine's pretty simple any organic products (Earth's Best and Cascadian farms sometimes run coupons) or frozen produce.

This Saturday work's for me (we only have plans for Sunday), but weekdays and kid-friendly are definately better for my schedule. I'd be happy to host at my apartment some time!

For those of you who are not part of it or know about it join Southern Savers she does an amazing job and matches all the coupons for you! And if you sign up for her emails she sends you an email every time one of the websites puts out new coupons or new adds etc

Also make sure to get a Sunday paper this weekend there are 4 inserts!!! whoooo hooooo

Comment by Laura Buysse on October 12, 2011 at 4:24pm: Oh I was also thinking it might be super helpful to make a SMALL list I repeat SMALL list of certain brands of items you and your family always use For example, me and DF both use suave shampoo so I would love any coupons for that also any suave body wash. We also use mitchem or Degree deoderant only. So those would be a couple things I would have on my list. Then I could make copies of the list to give to every one so they know oh yea laura likes suave and I saw this coupon online I can either print it off for her or email/make a post about it so she knows! It would be a great way to get a ton of coupons for those certain products we love! let me know what you all think of that too

So I will have to pass on the Saturday meetings. Also anywhere we have them we I will need to be able to bring my son as I know a few others were concerned about that as well. Just some food for thought. I was thinking it would be nice to have them at someones house every week/bi weekly. That way it would be more kid friendly for those of us who will need to bring them and it can sort of double as a playdate! Let me know what you all think. I am totally fine with it if you all want to stay on the saturday schedule. Thanks

Comment by Laura Buysse on October 6, 2011 at 2:09pm: Also publix has campbells soups 5 for 5$ they also have a 1.00 off coupon in their ad and I had found two different 40cent off coupons which the doubled BOTH so I got 5 cans of soup for 2.40!!!! I also had a 1.00 off brawny papertowels and a 50 cent off one so I save two bucks off brawny which is on sale at publix for I think a little over 6 bucks!
